General

It is important to us that your experience is a happy one.  If you have anything you’d like to advise us of, good or bad, please contact us.

Stock

Products shown on our website may not be stock items.  Any item ordered will be made to match the item chosen.  However, as our products are not mass-produced, there may be slight variations in colour and finish from those shown, which we celebrate as a feature of handcrafting.  We reserve the right to change or withdraw products at any time.

Orders

We are a small company and in busy times, we may be unable to fulfil orders as quickly as our aim in normal circumstances (see our Delivery Information).  There are also occasions when our moulds reach the end of their lives, that may result in a product not being available in a certain colour and/or design until new moulds are made. We would advise you of any delays in processing your order and you would then have the option of changing or cancelling your order if we were unable to fulfil it within 28 days.

Finishing

Our products are handcrafted individually, so small blemishes and variations to colour shade and surface pattern finishes can occur that we feel add to the character of each individual product.  Some of the materials we use for casting means that perfection is impossible with some of the more delicate designs.  One of the strengths of our designs is that it is clearly not a mass-produced item, but a lovingly-crafted artefact. So, if you find a small irregularity, you'll know that's the way it's meant to be: a small reminder of the craftsman's hand at work.  We also point out that some of these irregularities are on the original artefacts and are therefore replicated on the products. Please be aware that colours shown on your screens may not be accurate and handpainted finishes sometimes look different depending on the background colour of the product.

Promotions, Discounts, Coupons, Vouchers

Promotions, Discounts, Coupons and Vouchers are subject to our terms and conditions.  Codes may only be used once per household unless otherwise stated.  Only one code may be used at any one time.  We reserve the right to change or withdraw offers at any time. Discounts may not relate to all products on our website.  Please check details on individual promotions.

All prices are in GBP (British pounds) and include the current rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) at 20%.

Secure payment

Wix Payments and Stripe meet the Data Security Standards set by the Payment Card Industry (PCI DSS).

Contract

At the checkout, you will be asked to tick a box stating that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions before Confirming your Order.  This includes the details in our Returns, Privacy and Cookie policies.  At this stage, you are entering into a contract with Bishops Court Editions Ltd and indicating a legal obligation to pay.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Guarantee

Our products are made with considerable care and attention to detail.  They only leave our workshop when we are satisfied they pass our quality control and should arrive with you in the same condition.

Many of our products are delicate and should be handled with care.  Surface detail may be damaged if they come into contact with hard or sharp objects (such as scissors, nails and jewellery).

We ask that you read and fully understand any information provided on our website or with your products, including candle advisories.
